Oak meadow Primary School 2024

The artwork is produced during our special enrichment week, 'This is me!' The artwork is based on Kintsugi: Japan's ancient art of embracing imperfection. The message behind the artwork is to show the children that whatever challenges come our way, we are made stronger and more beautiful from experiences - we need these to become the person we are. Gold paint is used in the Japenese culture to repair broken items and we have experimented with this art medium across the school from Reception to Y6.
